Flooding in Bangalore

Wow look at the floods sweeping across bangalore today. It took one major rain to through everyting out of gear. All exit routes out of city are blocked and all telephone lines are snapped, Roads ; dont get me to even start on them. From BTM to Hosur road flyover it is a straight road of 4 km to silk board flyover. But today nope. I just started there at 7:45, had to take a diversion which took me to the other side of hosur road ( towards form) then from there towards St johns hospital Then i came to the flyover. I thought thats it. But no that was just the starting of everything No traffic on top of flyover is allowed so i had to go around around 2 km inside hsr layout just to take a u-turn just to get on to the hosur road. Now came the water. In the morning i was thinking Thank god for once there was no rain today. It turns out there was no need for it, it had rained so much yesterday there was no need for rain today. There was a huge atleast 4 km long traffic jam(i far as i could know) with snail pace movement and a minimum of knee deep water. At that time it i just called up a friend in office who told me that office is flooded, so i could not go there. ( To get an idea check out todays times of India, Bangalor Edition, Page 3: There is a picture of wipro office flooded, well thats mine. If u r not in bangalore see the e-paper)Now that really pissed me. I just turned back and went back to my pg. I will c how it is tomorrow. Now i am one of those persons who love going to work. Nothing will stop me from going,Whether it is rain or health. But when there is no place to go to whats the point of going on.If the office had been opened i would have continued and reached there somehow. But when there is no place to look forward to then.......
